Please read through the information and complete the following steps to use the kitchen. We look forward to working with you.

Kitchen Information

Our kitchen is a licensed, inspected commercial kitchen that is used for some storage of supplies, preparation of food, and washing of equipment and utensils. This kitchen serves a wide variety of needs for caterers, temporary restaurants, food peddlers and food manufacturers.

Steps For a Business to Use Our Kitchen

The users must agree to abide by the health codes and conduct of the licensing agencies. If any individual applies for kitchen usage as a caterer they must undergo the process to become certified by the licensing agency to use the CJCK (Cultivate Jax Community Kitchen).

1. Complete the CJCK Client Application, sign the Client Agreement, pay the registration fee and purchase the last month’s minimum hours (first month becomes active the day of your DBPR inspection and first month’s rent will be due on that day).

2. Contact the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to start the process of getting the license for your foodservice business.

3. Complete the Annual Food Permit Application FDACS-14306 and the Commissary Letter of Agreement DACS-14223 with Cultivate Jax shown as the existing H&R licensed kitchen.

4. Obtain liability insurance. (described in Client Agreement)

5. Provide a copy of your company’s Certified Food Manager’s Certificate (needed for licensing).

6. Pay required other CCK fees and deposits and schedule your DBPR licensing inspection.

7. Participate in the CJCK Orientation prior to using the facility. All steps must be completed prior to use.

Steps For an Individual to Use Our Kitchen

The users must agree to abide by the health codes and conduct of the licensing agencies. If any individual applies for kitchen usages for the purposes of selling their product they must undergo the process to become certified by the licensing agency to use the kitchen. An individual may use CJCK for the production of food that is not sold (such as for a large family event). There is a 5 hour minimum rental requirement for any Client.

1. Complete the CJCK Client Application (Individual), sign the Client Agreement, pay the registration fee.

2. Pay the required rental fees and the deposit (before you are coming in to cook).

3. Participate in the CJCK Orientation prior to using the facility. All steps must be completed prior to use.
