Consignment
In our commitment to a more eco-friendly lifestyle, we aim to work against “fast fashion” and hand select every item we consign. Are you interested in joining this program? Please send us an email and we will happily share more information.
Consign Your Clothes With Us!
What We Are Looking For
- Accepted Items: Clothing, bags, purses, shoes, hats, scarves, and belts that are gently used, new, or vintage.
- Condition Requirements: Items must be clean and free from stains, rips, holes, or damage.
- Restricted Brands: Fast fashion brands (e.g., Shein, Forever 21) are not accepted.
How It Works
- Drop-Offs & Sorting: Walk-ins are welcome Wednesday-Friday, 10 AM - 5 PM, but sorting occurs only on weekdays. Only one large bag or box is accepted per drop-off. If sorting cannot be done on the spot, items will be reviewed within 3-5 business days. Consignors must pick up unaccepted items within 3 days of notification. After 3 contact attempts with no response, unaccepted items become shop property.
- Check-In: Consignors must check in via email, text, or in person every month to track sales and restock if needed.
- Tax Forms: If total earnings exceed $600 in a year, a W-9 form is required, and a 1099 form will be issued. A valid ID and Social Security or Tax ID are necessary.
Sales and Pricing
- Pricing: Determined by the shop based on brand, condition, demand, and seasonality.
- Discounting: Items may be placed on sale if necessary, with payouts adjusted accordingly.
Payout Structure and Process
- Check Payment: 50/50 split of the final selling price.
- Store Credit: 60/40 split in favor of the consignor. Credits do not expire and can be used on any in-store purchase. A payout method must be chosen at the time of payment.
- Balance Checks: Consignors must text or email before picking up a check or using store credit.
- Mailed Checks: Available for non-local consignors only and issued by the 7th of each month.
- Tracking Sales: Account setup through Visceral Apps is required for balance tracking (store credit is not tracked in the app but can be viewed through your Shopify customer account). The same email address must be used for both.
- Pick-Up Timing: Arriving without notice may result in a wait. Wednesdays and Thursdays typically have shorter wait times.
Checks will be voided after 90 days and will not be reissued. Please cash them as soon as possible.
Unsold Items
- Return Timeline: Unsold items may be returned after two months.
- No Donations Without Consent: Three contact attempts will be made for donation approval. No response = approval to donate.
- Consignor Responsibility: Consignors are responsible for retrieving unsold items. Please check in regularly, as storage space is limited.
