Workshop Description-

How did we let the overly-edited photo and curated Instagram caption become the way of the world? While social media proves to be an entertaining and convenient form of inspiration, it is also very fleeting. Keeping a junk journal is a more tangible method of preserving your memories! When you combine your hand-written thoughts, meaningful ephemera, and layered doodles/stickers/washi tape, it gets transformed into a piece of art that is uniquely you. Join us as we take a much needed break from our screens! Let's reflect on this past year, manifest for the new one, and start some creative habits. A starter notebook, tools (scissors, glue, tape, etc), and all artsy things you will need to decorate will be provided. We ask that you please bring already printed photos and meaningful ephemera (ticket stubs, receipts, pamphlets, etc) you want to add with you to the workshop.

Teacher Bio-

Tiffany is a Jacksonville native, avid traveler, and supporter of the local art scene and small businesses. While she works full-time in a laboratory validating new instrumentation and testing, her true passion lies in fostering the creative side of her spirit. Claiming to have FOMO when it comes to anything crafty, she has tried many mediums, but always goes back to her love of journaling and scrapbooking. A sentimental fool, she has always hoarded meaningful hand-written cards, ticket stubs, pamphlets, and pretty paper. It was with scrapbooking and junk journaling that she was able to combine her love of writing, mixed media, and nostalgia into a more productive hobby!
